March Round Up

Ok so instead of doing the usual monthly favourites post I decided I wanted to do something a bit different and in keeping with this months theme of trying something new! So here is my March round up post!

Instagram Round Up

What better way to round up the month than with pictures! Here I have the pictures I have taken this month on Instagram. Ok starting from the top going from left to right.
My minimal makeup Monday, first ever love me beauty box,
some beautiful Mother's day flowers, Benefit favourites for a natural look,
sunny yellow flowers, tried something new - Benefit's creaseless cream shadow in RSVP,
eco tools eye brushesSunday manicure - tried a new Essie shade french affair,
where do all the hair pins go?!, which naked palette is your favourite?

Beauty Favourites

Of course I can't do a round up of the moth without mentioning some of my beauty favourites! I have been loving this eco tools double ended eye brush. Benefit's 'gimme brow' I didn't expect to love this as much as I do! I have worn it almost everyday! Benefit's fake up, can't believe it has taken so long for this product to feature in a favourites post! You can read more on it here. No7 essentially natural foundation has been my go to base throughout the month, perfect for a no make up, make up look.

Something New

I have heard so many good things about these two products so decided to 'try something new' and see how they work for me! Also went for a different shade to my usual go to pink shades!

After reading some good reviews on the love me beauty boxes I decided to save some money aside to treat myself to my first beauty box! (More on this box soon, so keep your eyes peeled for a post!)

There's my March round up. What have you been loving this month? Have you tried anything new?

Sally Hansen Nail Polishes Haul

I recently decided to try the Sally Hansen nail polishes after hearing some good things about them. So when I was wandering the aisles of boots at that very dangerous time when there is the 3 for 2 offer on, I decided that it was time to try out these polishes!

The complete salon manicure polishes include 5 products in 1 bottle. It includes a base coat, strengthener, growth treatment, colour and top coat. As well as all of this it is also said to be chip resistant, stay brilliantly shiny and last for up to 10 days! It also has a double brush to cover the whole nail in one stroke.

The first colour I chose is a bright pink called 'back to the fucshia'. It is a beautiful bright pink and perfect to wear in the spring and summer months. The next colour is a pretty soft pink called 'shell we dance'. I think this is a perfect neutral colour to wear all year round. The last colour is another neutral, creamy brown called 'cafe au lait'. Another colour that could be worn all year but I think it would be lovely in spring and autumn.

This product is basically a salon manicure in one bottle. Perfect for those who don't like to spend loads of time painting nails or spending more money on different nail polishes/ treatments. These polishes are also great for travelling or taking on the go.

Have you got any of the Sally Hansen polishes?

Benefit's Fake Up Concealer

I decided it was about time that I did a post on this concealer from Benefit. It has been in my summer beauty essentials post but other than that it hasn't had any attention. I came to the conclusion the reason why, is because I hadn't noticed myself how much I like this product until recently when I came to the end of it, and being upset that I had finished it (and not have it to use anymore) went straight out to repurchase!

So the story begins back when fake up was released about a year ago. I hadn't really tried many Benefit products at the time but my love for them was starting to grow, and I can remember how excited I was about the release of this. It promised a lightweight, non cakey or creasing coverage. Perfect just what I am after! I had had enough of my concealer looking awful under my eyes, and fake up was to the rescue!

I use it pretty much everyday, and it is my go to concealer. It can be worn on it's own, or over the top of another concealer to help prevent creases or applied during the day to smooth them out. It lasts well through the day and gives me a good coverage. I also love the packaging it comes in, it is so pretty and a lovely size to be able to carry around in your bag.

A few down sides to this product is that it doesn't have a high coverage. So if you want to cover up some really dark circles you would need to use another concealer with a higher coverage with it. Another thing is that I have found that if you apply too much it can start to crease during the day. Although to help this I just apply a little of the outer moisture ring and then blend away the crease.

All in all I would really recommend this product. So if you have had enough of caking or creasing concealer under your eyes, I would definitely invest in this!

Have you tried fake up? What is your favourite concealer?

100th Blog Post! - My First OOTD

Hello there, and welcome to my first outfit of the day post! As this is my 100th post I wanted to do something a bit different, so linking in with this months theme of trying something new I decided that I would put together an OOTD!

Jumper - New look I Shirt - New Look I Jeans - New Look I Shoes - M&Co I Ring - River Island

One of my favourite things about spring is wearing lighter colours. I really like this pink jumper, it is a lovely colour and perfect for the spring weather when you want something to keep you warm but also not being too hot in. The shirt underneath has a really pretty floral pattern in pink shades. I also like these light blue jeans for spring, making a nice change from the normal darker blue. I think that the shoes add a nice bright pop of colour to the outfit. The thumb ring is little heart shapes with little crystals in the center, I have been loving wearing this ring recently as it goes well with so many different things.

I hope you like my first OOTD!

Handbag Wishlist

We are now into the spring months and of course that means a spring wardrobe. As well as a spring wardrobe you need a handbag to match! So I have been scrolling through the Accessorize website and decided to share with you some of the handbags on my wishlist.

Linen Pocket Winged Bag

Leather Studded Satchel

Donna Dome Shoulder Bag

Brixton Double Pocket Satchel

Which bag is your favourite? What bag would you like to have for spring?

Skin Care Haul

I made use of the Boots 3 for 2 offer and decided to restock my skincare! First thing I picked up is the kind to skin soothing toner. I tried a travel sized toner a few years ago but when it ran out I didn't bother repurchasing it as I thought that it didn't really do anything for my skin. However recently I have been really interested in skincare and came across why toner is an important step, so I decided to pick some up and try it again.

The next thing I got was the vital vitamin night cream. I used to use a night cream and found it did help my skin but somehow it got forgotten about and fell out of my skincare routine. I came across it again as my skin has been very dry and in need of some extra moisturizing, so this night cream was added to the basket!

Lastly I also repurchased the moisturising facial wash. I have sensitive skin and this seems to be the only facial wash that is kind enough for me to use. I have tried other facial washes that are meant to be suitable for sensitive skin, but my skin just doesn't seem to like them!

Have you tried any of these products? What are your recent skin care buys?

Nails Of The Day

I have been loving Essie nail polishes at the moment and my collection is slowly growing bigger and bigger! One of my newer additions is 'jam n' jelly'. It is described as a warm rich fuchsia and a bright, fun fruity colour. I would agree with this and think it is a great bright colour and perfect for cheering up a dull day as well as wearing on a warmer day.

You may have seen this polish before on my Instagram back in January. It really brightened up my nails during the colder dull days. I also like wearing it now at the beginning spring as a fun way to bring in brighter colours.

What polish colours have you been wearing lately?

Eco Tools Eye Makeup Brushes

Eco tools brushes were my first proper makeup brushes, and even though I have tried other brands I always go back to eco tools. They have lovely soft bristles, so perfect for the delicate eye area. They are also great at applying makeup.

In this set there are five brushes and a bag to keep them in. I love this set, it includes the main brushes that you need to create many makeup looks. This set is perfect for taking on the go as the brushes are a shorter length and come in a handy little bag to put the brushes in to keep them clean and together.

Have you tried any eco tools brushes? What is your favourite eye brush?
