May Favourites

May has flown by and it is now time for another favourites post! I have been more focused on skincare this month and I have been trying out some new products too. So onto the products I have been loving this month!

Superfacialist Cleanser
This is a new face wash that I have been trying this month. When I ran out of my simple face wash I was in the shop buying a new one when I thought that I would try something new. I was wary at first as my skin is very sensitive and has reacted to every face wash I have tried except the Simple one. However I have been using this one throughout this month ad so far my skin seems to be ok with it!

Sally Hansen Nail Polish
As you may know from my nails of the day post my hands have been dry so I have been trying to get them back to normal so limited myself to one 'nail paint' this month, and this was the 'chosen' polish for this! I really like these polishes are they are great if you want to paint your nails but don't always have time to as they are as the name says a complete salon manicure. They include a base coat, colour and top coat all in one polish.

Balm Balm Face Balm
I love the Balm Balm lip balm and how great of a moisturiser it is, so when my little pot ran out I got a bigger tube to use. Even though this is a face balm it can also be used for the rest of your body too. It is great for any dry patches of skin, for lips and also as a hand cream.

Norwegian Formula Hand Cream
Another hand cream product that I have been loving is this one. It is like it says on the bottle, fast absorbing and non greasy. I have found that this has helped my hands, even though they aren't completely normal again, they have improved.

What products have you been your favourites this month?

Nails of the Day

This month I have had some troubles with my hands being quite dry, so I have been trying to focus on getting them back to normal again. One of the things I have been trying is painting my nails less, as this has dried out my nails and hands. However I couldn't just leave my nails unpainted throughout the whole month so I gave myself one 'nail paint'. I decided to use one of the Sally Hansen complete salon manicure polishes. These polishes include a base coat, colour and top coat. So they are pretty much a manicure all in one bottle! The perfect polish I thought, as this means only using one polish. I really like this polish and am impressed with all aspects. It apply's well, has good coverage and colour, and also lasts quite a long time! The colour that I used is called 'shell we dance' which I think is such a cute name too!

Have you tried any of the Sally Hansen polishes? Do you have any tips for getting dry hands back to normal?

2nd Blogiversary

It has now been two years since I started my blog! I can't believe how fast the time has gone, it really doesn't feel like I have been blogging that long at all! Like I said in last years post I have learnt so much from blogging and I am always learning something new even now, and I am sure that I will carry on learning new things as the years go on. I would also like to say thank you to everyone that reads, comments and follows my blog!

To celebrate my blogs 2nd birthday I have decided to put together some of my favourite posts from the past year. I hope you enjoy reading them (or re-reading)!

Here's to another wonderful year of blogging!

Friday Five

With the summer months coming up I like to change up my makeup and nail polish, so while I wait for the summer to arrive I have been looking at polishes perfect for the warmer months. I love looking at all the beautiful polishes on the Essie website and I have put together a mini Essie wish list of my five favourites at the moment! I really like the bright colours for summer with the teal blue of 'garden variety', the bright coral of 'canyon coral' and fuchsia of 'secret stash'. But also a few light shades too with the cornflower blue of 'bikini so teeny' and petal pink of 'pink glove service'.

Which of these is your favourite? What nail polishes do you have on your wish list?

Benefit Roller Lash

Roller Lash has made an appearance on my blog a couple of times already. However I didn't want to post a review on it until I had tried it for a good amount of time. So after using it for a few months I decided that now would be a good time to share my thoughts in Benefits newest mascara. So far Roller Lash has had mixed reviews with some loving it and some not. It sounds like it is perfect mascara for beautifully curled long lashes without the hassle of using an eyelash curler. I was very excited to try this mascara and see how it compares to other ones I have tried.

My first impressions: I really like how it applied, and how easy it is to use. My lashes looked slightly 'lifted' (and not necessarily curled as much). I didn't think that I would like the brush, but it is actually one of the things I like about it! The formula is good and didn't clump or 'splodge' either.

My thoughts on it now after using for a few months: I still like it and it has been my go to mascara for these past few months. My first impressions are still the same now, love the brush and formula, still not totally convinced about the 'curl' and I still use my eyelash curlers before applying. It lasts well throughout the day and only sometimes I have noticed that it has 'fallen' (panda eyes). It is also easy enough to remove and I am not spending ages removing it (like you sometimes can with they're real mascara). Overall I think that it is a good mascara and would purchase this again.

Have you tried Roller Lash mascara? What do you think of it?

A Blush for Spring/Summer

When the seasons change I like to mix up my make up and try new things. If you have read my blog for a while you may already know how much I love the Clinique cheek pop blush I have. I have the shade 'peach pop' which is as the name suggests a peachy shade. I love 'peach pop' so much and it is my go to blush, so recently when I was thinking about getting a more pinky shade for the spring and summer months I headed straight for the Clinique counter! So this is how I ended up getting 'plum pop'.

I was a bit worried about it being to dark for my pale skin, but what I love about this blush is that it is so easy to build up the colour, so I don't have to worry about having stripes of pink across my cheeks! Although I still wear 'peach pop', 'plum pop' has now become my go to blush and I think it is the perfect shade for this time of year. So if you also want to mix up your make up for Spring/Summer this is the perfect blush to try!
